Frank Door Company's cold storage doors are wood free. We have provided our customers, U.S.D.A. inspectors, architects, designers and consultants wood free products for over a decade. Wood warps, rots, collects moisture and can harbor bacteria and other microbes like mildew, mold and fungus. To address these hygienic and safety concerns our sliding doors feature an internal aluminum structure coupled with steel corner brackets and mounting plates providing unprecedented strength and a hygienic wood-free door. Furthermore, our thermally insulated casings and headers are extruded from aluminum; providing durable sanitary door frames. High density polyethylene casings and headers are available on request.

UL Listed

Frank swing doors are UL listed. With over 35 years of experience, Frank Door has acquired knowledge that allows us to provide our customers with the correct heat for their door. All doors are tested and inspected after wiring is complete for quality control and long heater wire life. 230 volt heaters are available upon request.

UL EPH/NSF

We are the only cold storage door manufacturer with the authorization to apply the UL EPH/NSF mark on our doors as our doors meet all requirements. The UL EPH Mark is recognized and accepted in all U.S. states and Canadian provinces as a trusted source for assessing the sanitary design, construction and performance of commercial food equipment. The UL sanitation certification is conducted to the applicable NSF / ANSI International standards and is recognized as an equal to NSF

Rotary Compression Latch
The rotary compression latch with multipoint latching is incredibly popular on double swing doors. Constructed of Stainless steel and polymers it can handle almost any environment or application. The latch comes standard with a keyed cylinder lock but can also be supplied without a locking mechanism. As the handle rotates the lever engages the strike and pulls the door in for a positive seal. It is also secure as the latching points are jamb mounted on the inside of the opening. This unique system allows for multiple latching points to be controlled on the inside of the door by one lever on the outside. This eliminates the need for bulky truck body hardware or other more industrial looking latching systems. The rotary compression latch with multi point latching is a clean, functional approach to creating a positive seal on double doors.

Edge Mounted Bullet Hinge
Unique to Frank Door are our bullet hinges. These edge mounted hinges are clean and modern looking as they do not have straps running along the face of the door. The are cam lift and adjustable on three axes.

Diamond Tread
Diamond Tread is the typical cold storage door kick plate. Our Diamond Tread Kickplate is 1/8” thick Aluminum and covers both the door and casings.
Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel kick plates are a great non-corrosive choice when a textured finish is not acceptable.
Smooth Aluminum
Smooth Aluminum is more cost effective than stainless steel when a textured finish such as diamond tread is not acceptable.
High Density Polyethylene
1/2” thick high density polyethylene is a wonderful kick or impact plate. Available in white or black not only is this style kick plate sanitary, it is also durable and great for wash-down. At a thickness of 1/2”, it provides a projection off the face of the door offering further protection to the metal skins of your cold storage door.

These units are available in custom sizes, however our standard viewports are 14” x 14” or 14” x 24”.
Lexan Windows
1/4” Lexan windows are available upon request. These single pane windows can be made to be installed in your FRANK door or as a unit to be installed in a wall section to create a viewing or inspection window. They are an excellent choice when glass windows are not permitted in processing areas.
Wire Mesh Windows
These units are available in 14” x 14” and 14” x 24”. Additional lead time may apply.

PVC Return Jambs
Our PVC return jamb is an excellent way to finish off a rough cut opening. Our polymer profile is sanitary, wood free and provides an integrated thermal break.
Cap Channel
Cap channel is a way to cap a rough cut opening or to cover existing damage to the jamb in replacement applications. This “C” shaped frame covers the entire jamb.
"L" Capping
“L” Capping is used when the thickness of the wall can vary from the top of the opening to to the floor or when the wall thickness is unknown. The two “L”s can slip over each other and be mechanically fastened and caulked at the seam.
Track Ports

Track ports allow for rail systems to go through a swing door. The track port opening is typically 8” wide and 12” tall but accommodations can be made if the track port needs to be larger.

Wicket Doors

Wicket doors are a swing door inside another door, typically a sliding door. This allows access in and out of a cold room without the need to open the sliding door or large swing door. Wicket doors are available as a hi sill or sweep bottom depending on the application. Wicket doors can be provided upon request. Wicket doors are placed in large slide doors so the large door does not need to be opened when people walk through the opening or in cases when the large door does not meet code requirements for pedestrian traffic.
